  1. Soak the daal and Rice for four hours. You can skip this step but soaking gives you the best result.
  2. Pressure cook it. In another pan, take oil. Once oil is hot, add onion and crushed green chillies and ginger. Add beans and carrot too.
  3. Add potato and green peas. Add all other masalas. Mix it well and cook it on low flame for some time. Pour it into the khichdi. Mix it well
  4. Let khichdi cook on low flame. Same another pan, take oil. Once the oil is hot, add mustard, Jeera, methi, curry leaves and dried red chilli. Add some spring onions too. Pour it into the khichdi. Mix it well. Cook it on low flame for some time. Serve hot with dollop of Ghee.
  5. You can serve with rice papad and buttermilk but believe me these all are not necessary..
