Steps to make to make Gujarati Dahi Moong Dal

  1. First wash dal twice and soak for 5 minutes. Once it is done. Drain the water and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Once it is done switch off the induction. Cool it and keep aside. In a bowl combine the sour curd, chilli powder, turmeric powder and besan. Mix well and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds, hing, ginger, garlic and green chilli paste and few curry leaves and saute on a low flame for a few seconds. Then add cooked moong dal. Mix..........well and cook on a low flame for 1 minute. Add the curd -besan mixture, salt and 2 cup water, mix well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. While stirring occassionally. Once it is done. Transfer to a serving dish. Serve with roti and steam rice...................
